Original Art & Quality Prints in Whitby, North Yorkshire

Emma Beardsworth

Emma was born in West Yorkshire, growing up on a plant nursery and spending countless weekends and holidays in Whitby. She was surrounded by rolling hills and the sea, spending much of her time outdoors. Landscapes and animals have always been a huge part of her life.

Always creative, even as a young girl, she loved painting. Focusing on art all through her education she went on to study for a multimedia art degree at Loughborough School of Art.

She has sold work all over the world and held various exhibitions. After university she worked for 10 years as an illustrator and graphic designer, including branding work for formula 1 cars for Castrol.

Since 2010 Emma has been teaching  art in secondary education in West Yorkshire.

She and her cousin set up the Yorkshire Craft Club in 2017. The focus of the club is to offer experiences to all adults and help them try new crafts and meet new people with similar interests.

Her current work is heavily influence by the sea and Whitby itself, in particular the waves and the movement of the sea. She works mainly in watercolour and likes to work on small pieces.
